Your Data Subject Rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time using the contact details provided above:

  • access to your data stored by me and information about how it is processed,
  • rectification of inaccurate personal data,
  • erasure of your data stored by me,
  • restriction of data processing where I am not yet permitted to delete your data due to legal obligations,
  • objection to the processing of your data by me, and
  • data portability, provided that you have consented to the data processing or have entered into a contract with me.

If you have given me consent, you may revoke it at any time with effect for the future.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority at any time. The supervisory authority responsible for you depends on the federal state of your residence, place of work, or the presumed infringement. A list of supervisory authorities (for the non-public sector) including addresses can be found at:
https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html

Purposes of Data Processing by the Controller and Third Parties

I process your personal data only for the purposes stated in this privacy policy. Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed here. I will only share your personal data with third parties if:

  • you have given your explicit consent,
  • the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you,
  • the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, or
  • the processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in the non-disclosure of your data.

Deletion or Blocking of Data

I adhere to the principles of data minimisation and data economy. Therefore, I store your personal data only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as required by the various statutory retention periods provided by law. After the respective purpose ceases to apply or these periods expire, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with statutory provisions.

Collection of General Information When Visiting My Website

When you access my website, information of a general nature is automatically collected by means of a cookie. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar information. These are exclusively information that does not allow conclusions to be drawn about your person.

This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the content of web pages requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. It is processed in particular for the following purposes:

  • ensuring a smooth connection to the website,
  • ensuring the smooth use of my website,
  • evaluation of system security and stability, and
  • other administrative purposes.

The processing of your personal data is based on my legitimate interest arising from the purposes listed above. I do not use your data to draw conclusions about your person. Recipients of the data are only the responsible controller and, where applicable, processors.

Anonymous information of this kind may be statistically evaluated in order to optimise my website and the technology behind it.

Cookies

Like many other websites, I also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides me with certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your connection to the Internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transmit viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, I can make navigation easier for you and enable the correct display of my web pages.

Under no circumstances will the data collected by me be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

Of course, you can generally view my website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. In general, you can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of my website may not work if you deactivate the use of cookies.

SSL Encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, I use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Contact Form

If you contact me by email or via the contact form with any kind of enquiry, you give your voluntary consent for the purpose of contacting you. For this purpose, a valid email address is required. This serves to assign the enquiry and subsequently respond to it. The provision of further data is optional. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. After the completion of your enquiry, personal data will be automatically deleted.

Use of Script Libraries (Google Web Fonts)

In order to present my content correctly and graphically appealing across different browsers, I use script libraries and font libraries on this website, such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web Fonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a standard font.

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – although currently unclear whether and for what purposes – that operators of such libraries collect data.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here:
https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Embedded YouTube Videos

On some of my web pages I embed YouTube videos. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your browsing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

Anyone who has deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google advertising program will not have to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in the provider’s privacy policy at:
https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/

Changes to My Privacy Policy

I reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to my services in the privacy policy, for example when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.

This privacy policy was created using the privacy policy generator of activeMind AG.
